Our ES1 and S1 incursions are designed especially for our littlest storytellers, offering a joyful, deeply engaging, hands-on introduction to creative writing and storytelling that aligns with the English curriculum.
Through play-based learning, guided discussion, role-play, and hands-on activities, students explore the building blocks of narrative in highly interactive and movement-rich sessions, helping young learners stay focused while building confidence as storytellers.
All workshops include leave-behind activities for educators to extend learning, revisit key concepts, and make clear connections to curriculum outcomes beyond the session.
Story-tastic Elements
What does a story need to make it a story? This is a fun and highly interactive introduction to the exciting world of story elements including character, setting and plot.
Story-tastic Structure
Building on the Story-tastic Elements workshop, kids will learn about the B,M, and E (beginning, middle and end) of the plot, taking away the inspiration to go forth and create stories!
Fairy-tastic Tales
In this magical drama and play-based workshop, young learners bring fairytales to life in a fantastical way whilst exploring narrative and characters. With a strong focus on oral storytelling, kids will use fun props, engage in hands-on craft activities and experiment with their own voices in the name of nurturing imaginations, confidence and essential early storytelling and communication skills.
