COVID SAFE PROCEDURES

Whilst we’re very excited to be running workshops these holidays, our first priority is the health and safety of the children and staff who attend, so we’re a registered Covid safe business. We’ve put comprehensive Covid safe procedures in place, as well as some FAQs.

If you have any questions or concerns that we haven’t addressed here please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

FAQS

Are the Story Squad holiday programs still going ahead?

Story Squad will be operating holiday workshops these school holidays. Whilst we have had to adapt some of our activities, our workshops will still be interactive, immersive and a huge amount of fun! Please note, however, that workshops and scheduling are subject to change as necessary. Just like you, we don’t know what’s going to happen and the current situation can change quickly. Our first priority is the health and safety of the children that attend. Therefore, workshops going ahead will depend on booking numbers, and the ability to comply with all relevant government guidelines at the time of the workshops.

What if the workshop I have booked my child into is cancelled?

If a workshop is cancelled by Story Squad we will offer you a place in another workshop appropriate for your child. In the case that your child can not attend the alternative workshop offered, we will refund you in full.

What do I do if a member of my household is diagnosed with COVID-19?

If your child, or any other household member, receives a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 after they have attended a Story Squad workshop, please advise Story Squad immediately by emailing info@storysquad.com.au and calling Emily on 0450 522 281. Please confirm in writing the name of the person who has received the diagnosis, and the date and name of the workshop(s) that they, or their family member, attended.

What happens if a member of another workshop participant’s household is diagnosed with COVID-19?

If Story Squad is advised that a child who attended a workshop, or any member of their household, has received a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, we will notify the parents / carers of all workshop participants on that particular day as soon as possible. We will contact you via email and / or SMS using the contact details provided in the booking form, so please ensure that Story Squad has your most up to date contact details.

What happens if a child turns up with a runny nose and feeling unwell?

Your child should not attend the workshop if they have a fever, are feeling unwell in any way, or have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the previous 14 days. If your child becomes unwell during the day (coughing, sneezing, temperature) you will be contacted via phone and requested to take your child home. Whilst waiting to be picked up, the child will be isolated with a mask.

I’ve recently travelled outside of Australia, can my child attend Story squad workshops?

Any person arriving into Australia from overseas must adhere to the most up to date directive from the Australian Government prior to attending a workshop.

If you have any questions or concerns that we haven’t addressed here please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
